Website privacy notice | Working draft for review
This document is a general website policy and terms draft, not legal advice. SGNTUR should have it reviewed for its business and the jurisdictions where it operates and serves clients.
1. About this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SGNTUR (“SGNTUR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit our website at https://sgntur.com, contact us, request a proposal, engage our creative services, or otherwise interact with us. SGNTUR provides AI-generated and hybrid creative services, including video ads, commercials, brand films, product imagery, campaign assets, performance creative, creative strategy, production, and related services.
This policy applies to information SGNTUR handles in its own business and website operations. If SGNTUR processes personal information on behalf of a client as part of a project, the client may be the organization responsible for deciding how that information is used. The applicable client agreement and the client’s privacy notice may also apply.
The legal name and business address of the SGNTUR entity responsible for this policy are SGNTUR. Contact: [email protected].
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, business name, job title, email address, telephone number, billing details, project goals, creative brief, brand guidelines, product details, campaign requirements, feedback, approvals, and communications with us. If you submit files, images, video, audio, scripts, logos, or other materials, we collect those materials and related metadata as needed to assess or perform the requested work.
If you are a client, we may also handle account, contract, invoice, transaction, project-management, and support information. Payment card details, if accepted, are generally collected by the payment provider used for the transaction rather than stored directly by SGNTUR; the provider and its practices must be confirmed before publication.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, we or our service providers may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked, dates and times of access, and diagnostic or log information. The precise information depends on the website hosting, analytics, security, and advertising tools in use.
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, tags, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand traffic, measure campaigns, and support advertising. See “Cookies and similar technologies.”
3. How we use information
We may use information to: respond to inquiries and provide proposals; communicate with prospects and clients; scope, create, revise, deliver, and support creative projects; manage contracts, billing, and records; personalize or improve our website and services; maintain website functionality and security; prevent misuse, fraud, or unlawful activity; measure website and marketing performance; send service or administrative notices; and, where permitted, send marketing communications.
We use information for purposes that are reasonably connected to the context in which it was provided, with consent where required, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. We do not make a promise here that any particular analytics or advertising tool is installed; the live site configuration should be checked before publication.
4. Legal bases and consent
Depending on your location and the activity, we may rely on your consent, the need to take steps at your request or perform a contract, our legitimate business interests, compliance with legal obligations, or another lawful basis. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it, subject to legal or contractual limits and reasonable notice. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
In Canada, applicable privacy requirements may include Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), or substantially similar provincial laws, depending on the activity and circumstances. Other laws may apply based on where you are located or where services are offered.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and similar tools may be necessary for basic website functions or may support preferences, analytics, and advertising. You can often control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, a website consent tool. Blocking some cookies may affect site features. Browser-based opt-out signals may not be recognized by every service.
Before publishing, identify the specific cookies, tags, pixels, analytics products, advertising platforms, consent manager, and cookie lifetimes actually used on the website. If required by law, obtain consent before placing non-essential technologies and provide a clear way to change preferences.
6. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers who help operate our business or deliver services, such as website hosting, email, file storage, project management, analytics, advertising, scheduling, payment processing, cloud computing, and AI or creative-production tools. We share only information reasonably needed for the relevant function, and we expect service providers to handle it under appropriate contractual, confidentiality, and security protections where applicable.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers; to a successor in a merger, financing, restructuring, or sale of business assets; to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect rights, safety, or property; or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information for money. If applicable law defines “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising more broadly, your choices under that law will be respected.
Third-party providers and their locations may change. We do not list specific vendors here until SGNTUR confirms its actual website and service stack.
7. International processing
SGNTUR and its service providers may store or process information in Canada or other countries where they or their infrastructure operate. Information handled outside your home jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that location and may be accessible to its courts, law-enforcement, or regulatory authorities. Where required, SGNTUR will use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for cross-border processing.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, maintain business and project records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet tax or accounting requirements, and comply with law. Retention periods vary by information type and context. When information is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it where reasonably practicable and as permitted by law.
SGNTUR’s actual retention schedule is: we retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy and as required or permitted by law. Do not publish a fixed period until operational practices have been verified.
9. Safeguards
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and SGNTUR cannot guarantee absolute security. Access to project information should be limited to people and providers who need it for legitimate business purposes. If a privacy incident occurs, SGNTUR will take steps required by applicable law.
Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary website forms or email unless SGNTUR has specifically requested it through an appropriate secure channel.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on applicable law and your location, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent, or information about how your data is handled. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator. These rights are not absolute and may be subject to exceptions.
To submit a request, email [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and enough detail for us to understand and verify the request. We may ask for reasonable information to confirm identity and authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe option in the message or contacting us. Service-related messages may still be sent.
11. Marketing communications
Where permitted, we may use business contact information to send updates about SGNTUR’s services, work, or events. You can opt out at any time. Opting out of promotional communications will not prevent essential project, billing, security, or administrative messages.
12. Children
The website and services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children. SGNTUR does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age where parental consent is required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact [email protected] so we can review and take appropriate steps.
13. Third-party websites and tools
The website, project materials, or communications may link to or use third-party websites, platforms, or embedded content. Those third parties have their own privacy terms and practices. SGNTUR does not control third-party services and this policy does not cover their independent processing. Review their policies before providing information to them.
14. Client materials and AI tools
Project work may involve AI systems, cloud platforms, stock libraries, editing software, or other third-party tools. The information and materials processed by those tools, and whether they may be retained or used to improve a provider’s systems, depend on the tools, settings, and contractual terms selected for the project. SGNTUR will follow the applicable client agreement and any documented project instructions concerning client materials. We do not promise in this policy that every third-party tool has identical data-use or retention terms.
Clients should provide only materials they are authorized to share and should flag any confidential, personal, regulated, or restricted information before sending it. Do not include sensitive personal information in creative briefs unless SGNTUR has expressly agreed to handle it through an appropriate process.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices, services, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on the website with a revised effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or seek consent for material changes.
16. Contact
Questions, concerns, or privacy requests may be sent to [email protected]. The responsible legal entity and business address are SGNTUR. Contact: [email protected].
